Uniting Missions in Africa - 2010 Project - “Cruising Team”

 By the experience of the 2009 Project we have decided to slow down the pacing of the projects, we have to assume that we were unable to gather as many people we needed and hoped for, this way it would make no sense trying to take steps larger than our legs can reach. The full “Reconnaissance Mission” project scope will be kept as informative (in case that we have subimissions enough to do it) but we have already started a cropped project scope that we have called “Cruising Team”.

 The “Cruising Team” will work the same way the 2009 Project Team worked in July’09, by travelling to a max of a couple of countries visiting missions and missionaries, helping them in their needs, gathering data for later submissions and publishings, experiencing the reality and needs of the visited culture. It will probably take around 30 days or so.

 We are deciding over cruising in between Tanzania and Malawi or Uganda and Kenya. In a few weeks we will have decided and will let you know.

 Uniting Missions in Africa - 2010 Project - “Reconnaissance Mission”

 This project plans a round trip over the african continent during the year of 2010. The basic plan is sending two people (a married couple or 2 people of the same gender) to Africa visiting strategic areas what includes: Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Congo, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, South Africa, Botswanda, Namibia, Angola, Brazzaville, Gabon, Cameroon, Nigeria, Chad, Niger, Benin, and all the other minor countries of the northwest coast until Marocco;  and meeting up with missionaries that are already living accross the continent.

 After this period of data gathering and relation bridges building, the mission intends to launch its main project (’Uniting Missions in Africa’) scheduled for 2011.

  We are in the “planning” phase of the project, therefore there aren’t much to write about for now, we are excited about how God is acting; As soon as we have more information we will be pleased to share them with you, we’ll keep you posted thru the “Blog’n'ews” section.
